Using the metal pen and ink technique, the series “LOLLIPOPS” explores a symbolic battle over a simple and sweet concept: candy. In these black-and-white works, fighting creatures represent human conflicts and conflicts around fundamental desires and wishes. This war is not only about a material object but also about pleasure, hope, and dreams. Each image tells a story of tension and conflict and invites us to think about the values and priorities of life. Using visual contrasts and dynamic movements, the series reminds the viewer that even simple things can sometimes become the focus of strife.
